Immigration attorneys are able to provide their services in an immigration court, and therefore have the ability to represent an immigrant, legal or otherwise, who has to attend immigration court. Immigration attorneys have distinct, and varied knowledge of the judicial system regarding immigration, and are therefore very important legal representatives in such processes.
Why Would an Immigrant Need to Go to Court?
There are various reasons why an immigrant would have to attend immigration court, however the most notable reasons are the following: either to appeal for a change in immigration status, or to prevent deportation. In the instance of the 1st reason, when immigrants will need to change their immigration status, this may be due to several reasons, however the most common occurrence of such an appeal is in order to either extend the period of residence or allow immigrants to work.
An immigrant may also be summoned to an immigration court regarding illegal issue, which may result in their deportation. Even though an immigration lawyer represent an excellent case for the immigrant, the immigration judge has a final decision in the courts, and therefore they have the power to deport immigrants within the country.

It is also notable, without immigration court, it would be much harder to pass and enforce regulations regarding immigration within a country or nation. Immigration judges have a very important job to do in retaining the integrity of the citizenship of the country that they work for.
